Baroque Music on Saturday Night

Baroque music played on period instruments--what could be more enjoyable on a summer evening?

On Saturday, June 23, Rodrigo Tarraza and Christine Gevert of the Baroque ensemble Les Inegales will perform a duo concert program for traverso--Baroque flute--and harpsichord, which they are calling "Le Rossignol en Amour" (The Nightingale in Love). The program includes works by Handel, Corelli, Couperin, D. P. E. Bach, and Hotteterre, a composer, flautist, and flute maker in the French royal court.

The concert to benefit the Friends of the First Presbyterian Church will take place in the church, at Warren and Fourth streets, and begins at 6 p.m. Admission is $15 at the door.
